Christopher R. Sellars, D.O

Dr. Sellars is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehab and holds a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. Today, his practice focuses on the non-surgical treatment of orthopedic, sports and spine injuries.

Dr. Sellars received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his first year of post-graduate residency, he served as Chief Intern at Nassau University Medical Center. He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the prestigious New York University (NYU) –Langone Medical Center and Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. 

Subsequently, Dr. Sellars completed an AOA Accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic - Ohio.  Throughout his fellowship year, he also received specialty training in interventional spine procedures. Dr. Sellars has been practicing in his specialty since 2012.

Dr. Sellars takes a comprehensive approach to your care by offering expertise in Sports Medicine, Regenerative Medicine and Osteopathic treatments. His care plan may consist of individualized physical rehabilitation plans, soft tissue treatments for myofascial pain, or minimally invasive reparative Orthobiologics procedures (stem cell, prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma). His ultimate goal is to help you heal, identify the correct treatment path and avoid unnecessary surgery.

As a physician, Dr. Sellars is known for his hands-on, empathetic patient care. In his free time, Dr. Sellars enjoys coaching baseball with his two sons, spending time with his family and friends and staying active in his local Church community.
